Hi I'm Gil Orme

I'm a husband, father, grandfather and veterinarian. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a veterinarian and have enjoyed my profession very much. I have recently retired and my wife and I are serving a mission for the church. We have seven children and twenty grandchildren, currently. I have raised cattle and horses as well as other animals over the years. As a family we enjoy seeing new places, hiking, boating especially at Lake Powell.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I grew up in the church, I needed to come to know of it's truthfulness on my own. For me this happened when I was nineteen and read the Book of Mormon with a prayerful heart, I came to know that it was the word of God as is the Bible. As I have tried to live the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life, I and my family have been greatly blessed. The older I get the more I know that God loves me and will guide and direct our lives if will just let Him. Prayer needs to be important in all our lives.

How I live my faith

I have found great happiness in church activity, which includes serving others. Our family is a source of joy especially now that the children are older and I can see the good people they have become. Sometimes there are not a lot of paydays being a parent, but at this stage of my life they are more frequent. It is hard for me to explain how I live my faith, but I try to be a good upstanding person.
