Hi I'm Nate Smith

I grew up in Mesa AZ, I love to travel, play sports, and create music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My greatest passion is volleyball. I've been on club teams and play for fun 2-4 hours every day. I also enjoy singing and playing the piano. I'll even use Finale to write my own compositions. In 2010 I served my mission in Taiwan, so I learned Chinese and a little Taiwanese. I'm a BYU-Idaho graduate and currently work as the Asia Sales Manager at a comparatively small company called Bio Huma Netics, Inc. I love back-flips and bridge jumping. Adventure is my middle name.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was younger I used to go on top of my roof and watch the sunrise every day. It was my spiritual retreat, my safehaven, a place where I communicated with God. During that time, I was reading the Doctrine and Covenants and realized that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and helped restore the entire gospel of Jesus Christ on the earth today. From that day I have had frequent spiritual experiences to help keep my testimony burning. By feeling the spirit, I am guided in making not only good choices in the daily dilemmas but the best choices with my time. The temple is a special place that can always be a refuge for me from all the trials and tribulations of the world. Praise to the Lord!

How I live my faith

I am currently the choir director for my ward and love working with members. I think that everyone needs to fill the spirit in some way or another, and I strive to help others feel the love of the Savior. I look forward to home teaching visits and general conference talks.
