Hi I'm Socheath Sorn

I am serving a mission in Sydney North Mission Australia. I’m a Mormon. Cambodia

About Me

I’m a parent-less person who never has a comfortable from my father since I was born in a poor family and my mother was died since I was 10 years old. I have 1 brother no sister. I had been living in organization for 9 years ago and I’m very happy that I know the gospel from my Foster mom who teaches me a lot of things that I never ever known before. i was baptized in 2012. I have been a member of the church for 3 years but I have known this church since I was 13 years old. At this time I couldn’t baptize because I have living in organization. However I am not hopeless with this life but i must to be strong person and be hopeful because I know that heavenly father loves me and he take care me every day and every time. I want to be a missionary when I graduate my high school and I know that mission is very important for young men who stay in church. I like to play soccer, basketball, go outside and listening music etc. I really love my savior. I am certainly a missionary who serve in Sydney North Mission Australia. From Jan 2015 To Jan 2017.

Why I am a Mormon

Because I have found the truth and happiness church that I didn't know I was looking for. The restored gospel and its teaching have helped me find purpose in life, harmony at home and love of God. Joining The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has helped me understand my identity and personal relationship with God that we are all children of a loving Heavenly Father and He has a plan of happiness for all of us. My testimony and understanding of the sacred role and mission of our Savior Jesus Christ has grown as I read both The Bible and The Book of Mormon. I felt peace when I hear songs from the church. It gave me chances to ponder about how I should live my life. I saw great families within the church that they sit together and it was look like happiness and peaceable. It taught me how can I become better and to become a man of the family and I’m very proud to be a Mormon. I’m grateful for Joseph smith prophet who translated the book of Mormon if without him we don’t have a true church on the earth.

How I live my faith

Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ is a natural way of living easy and simply. Living in faith and enduring unto the end is really a great challenge as it requires strict self-discipline, patience, faith and wisdom to hold one's belief. It is simply doing correct things. As members of the Church, we have the opportunity to improve our lives, individually, as a family, as professionals, and as part of our communities. We can be a light to the world by doing small and simple things that help to improve our environment. We learn that we have great potential and that we can achieve anything we desire. Faith gives me hope to pursue excellence and believe I can do better if I continue to work on it. I attain a stronger desire to be like God which is a powerful motive to live with faith for the past and in the future.
