Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon is a life style, not just a religion. It's my identity. I have chosen to be part of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because it was the only church to help me understand God's plan for his children on earth. When the two amazing missionaries taught me the plan of salvation, I knew that I wanted this gospel in my life.Through the church I have come to understand the role Christ's atonement play in our lives and how can we take full advantage of it. The church does such a good job in helping us understand that through the atonement we can repent daily even of things that others think there is no salvation for. As Mormons Jesus Christ is the center of our faith and we believe that we can all strive to become like him so we can return to live with our Heavenly Father again. I love the church and the restored gospel. I love to know that we study the Book of Mormon in addition to the bible to help us have a stronger relationship with our savior and go through trials with the hope of overcoming them. I know the church is truth because I have prayed and gained a testimony of it. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet just like Moses, called of God to translate the Book of Mormon and bring upon this earth the restored gospel along with the priesthood authority. I know that in our temples we can go perform sacred ordinances which are crucial to our eternal progression. I know my savior lives and live us in ways our simple mind can not understand. I know the savior loves me and will always guide me to follow his ways.

How I live my faith

I am a Latter Day Saint, which means I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, otherwise known as Mormons. Jesus Christ is the center of our faith and we strive to become like him. I believe that the best way to live my faith is through service and missionary work. I absolutely love to participate in any fundraising activities to support my community and provide service to anyone in need.I fulfill my church calling faithfully and strive to obey, and respects God's commandments and convenants. ach the gospel to other people. I help the missionaries teach the restored gospel so people can understand their worth and purpose on this earth.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Dhina
The only way to know if Mormonism is true is to sincerely pray and ask our Heavenly Father. You can ask him to help you recognized if the things you are learning are true. As you continue to pray, pay attention to what feelings you get when as you learn. Open your heart for the sweet feelings that the Holy Spirit also known as the Holy Ghost, which is the spirit of God, will confirm unto you. Also remember that all good things come from God. So if the things you are learning positively influence you by bringing peace, happiness, hope and comfort, then that's the Holy Ghost telling you that they are true. Follow God's commandments so you can feel the influence of the Holy Ghost and have a stronger understanding of the trueness of Mormonism. Show more Show less
