Hi I'm Madelene

I'm a member of, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

About Me

I was born to parents who were members a long time ago. Actually I was their first child. They became members shortly after they were married, but not at the same time, just one by one when they felt right about it. I was blessed as a baby [like a christening], but was not baptized a member of the church until I was 8 years old and it felt right for me also. I am a mother of 4 grown children, 3 of whom are now married. I so far have 10 grandchildren. I unfortunately am divorced. A situation I never aspired to.

Why I am a Mormon

At the tender of age of 8, I knew the church was true. Nothing doubting. Why it came so easily for me then, I do not know. In the years following I have gained a testimony of many things as I have learned to negotiate through life and understand how the gospel of Jesus Christ has and does help me and support me in and through trials of all kinds. This is how I have peace and much happiness in life. My children are going through the same process and we love each other very much.

How I live my faith

I have been an busy person in my church from my childhood to adulthood and beyond. I began teaching children at the age of 12 and then again at 15. I have served in many ways since and not just for children. Now that I have many health issues I am less busy and concentrate on helping my elderly mother who still attends church. My father has already passed on. I have many craft related hobbies. In my healthier days I loved to bird watch, do leather craft, crochet and make blankets, craft with beads, make quilt covers etc. At the moment I love to make cards and give them away.
