Hi I'm Austin

Born in Utah. Raised in Iowa. Athletics are my life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student preparing to serve God on a two year mission down in Mexico. Football was a big part of my life during my high school career and I turned down many offers to play at the collegiate level to serve a mission. Turning down such opportunities was very difficult to me but I know that by serving God I will be blessed tenfold for my decision to put my personal goals aside for now and to try and build up His kingdom on earth.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it all makes sense in my heart and my head. In my heart I know everything about the church is true, from the Book of Mormon to priesthood power and authority to personal revelation and all the way to latter-day prophets I know without a shade of a doubt that it is true. On the other side of the spectrum, my head knows everything makes sense about this church. The organization of this church is built to bring us closer to Christ, while the doctrines and principles are made to make us better people and to ultimately take us back home to our Heavenly Father. God set up this church that we may know logically and emotionally that it is true, and I have been blessed to have that knowledge and feelings throughout my life.

How I live my faith

I lived my faith by trying my best to magnify my callings throughout my life. During my time in those positions, my goal was to make the lives of those around me better in any way shape or form. Whether that be by just complimenting what they are doing, building them whenever possible, or just being there when they needed a helping hand I tried and am trying to make the load people carry a little lighter.

Are Mormons Christians?

Austin
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints believe that Christ is indeed our Lord and Savior. He atoned for our sins and opened the door to eternal life. The people that have asked me if Mormons are actually Christians always thought that we believed that Joseph Smith was the one that we worshiped. In reality we believe that Joseph Smith was the prophet through which Christ and God the Eternal Father restored the new and everlasting gospel back to the earth. Christ is and always will be the focal point of this church. Show more Show less
