Hi I'm Wanda

South Dakota, USA, is where I'm from. I've taught piano lessons and worked in community theater for years, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I have 8 children and 29 grandchildren so far! We have lived in South Dakota, Idaho, and Utah. Now we are going to live in Texas because we have been called to serve as missionaries, as a couple, for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We are VERY excited about this!

Why I am a Mormon

My wonderful parents and older brothers and sisters taught me about Jesus Christ and His gospel from my very earliest years. I will be thankful forever to them for not only teaching me, but living themselves what they were teaching. I know the teachings of Jesus Christ are His plan of happiness for us. I know that following His gospel is the only way to find happiness in this world and make it back to live with Him and our Father in Heaven when we pass from this life. I believe ALL of His teachings. I have tried them out for myself and know that they are true. They really do answer my questions and lead me along. I know that our Heavenly Father and His son, Jesus Christ and constantly standing nearby to help us and guide us. I have also felt the influence and sweet comfort of the Holy Ghost leading me, and bearing witness of Jesus Christ. I love the gospel with all my heart.

How I live my faith

I love community theater! I love that group feeling, that shared purpose of learning and presenting a play for audiences. Once you and your fellow actors get on the stage, the show comes alive in a whole new way for the audience. I really believe in maintaining high standards of morality and decency in entertainment---this way, we can all be uplifted by the entertainment we participate in. Sometimes watching a play answers our questions about life, teaches us important lessons, or just helps us to laugh and feel better. I also truly believe that Heavenly Father loves wholesome entertainment for just these purposes. I love to work in ways to help others around me. Service to others like, sharing meals, visiting to help comfort or lift someone, working on church service projects--these are all important for all parties involved. Teaching classes, leading music in congregations or choirs, even participating in classes, are all ways to serve in the church. We all help one another by doing these things.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Yes, a husband and wife can be together forever, throughout eternity. If a worthy man and woman are sealed together in a temple of the Lord by the Holy Priesthood, and then they live the commandments of God and endure to the end of this life, they can be together always. And of course, they want their family together too. Whole families can be happy together by obeying the commandments of God and receiving the temple ordinances. It is a wonderful plan!!
