Hi I'm Denise Alexander

I loved raising my large family in lovely Utah. I love to hike, bike, swim, travel, ride horses and share my beliefs!I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I adore my large family! I've spent the last almost 40 years raising nine amazing kids (actually they raised me) and I have 21 delightful grand kids. I still had time to have fun! I love to hike, bike, swim, ski, snowshoe, garden, and ride horses. I'm married to a real cowboy, quite the guy, and we loved living in beautiful Utah. I enjoy serving the refugees in SLC, and I loved serving with the young Women and BYU students! I'm so grateful to be serving in the North Carolina Charlotte mission with 200 incredible missionaries. It's truly the mission of miracles!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I had incredible ancestors that sacrificed their all to bring our family into the church. Caroline Nielsen from Denmark was one of them. In the mid 1800's she dreamed of two men in American clothing who came to her home with a special book. When the men actually did come, she recognized them and the Book of Mormon and she and her husband joined the church. My heart continually turns to my faithful ancestors from Denmark, Sweden, England and Germany. My membership in the church means the world to me!

How I live my faith

I love the Savior Jesus Christ with all my heart. He is so good to me. He has showered me with blessings and shows me tender mercies every day. I will never be able to repay the Lord for what He does for me, but I want to serve Him! I want to serve Him with all my whole heart and soul. I've been able to serve in many capacities in the church and have learned and grown in each calling. I served as the children's music leader many times. I loved serving in cub scouts with my boys. I loved serving in the young women's organization and really learned about our divine nature and how the Savior loves His daughters. I served at Brigham Young University as my husband served in a bishopric. The students there are remarkable and they are great examples of true discipleship. I have really enjoyed being a visiting teacher in our women's organization for the last 40 plus years. I have found that this is where I have made my best friends. I never want to miss our visits, whether I am going to a sisters home or they are coming to mine. I am so grateful for an incredible husband and Priesthood holder in my home. It means so much to me that he is worthy give us special Priesthood blessings and has ordained our six sons to the offices of the Priesthood. I now have the wonderful privilege of serving as a missionary in the North Carolina Charlotte mission. It has been a thill to watch special people come into the church. I have really enjoyed serving with my husband Allen and watch him preside over remarkable young missionaries, who serve with their whole hearts to bring others unto Christ.
