Hi I'm Marianne Robison

I grew up in Salt Lake City. My parents emigrated from the Netherlands to the U.S.A. two years before I was born. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of two sons and two daughters. I have thirteen grandchildren. I love to be in the outdoors either boating, swimming, skiing, golfing, gardening, hiking, or camping with my family. We are very close and love to be together. For my grandchildren's birthdays I take them out to lunch and then shopping so they can pick out their own present. This gives me a one on one with them and lets me know what is going on in their lives.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it gives me direction and purpose in my life. The gospel of Jesus Christ brings me happiness. I know that Joseph Smith restored the gospel of Jesus Christ here on the earth today and that we are led by a living prophet, Thomas S. Monson today. I know that if we follow and keep the commandments we can live with our Heavenly Father again. I know that families are eternal and we can live together forever. This brings me great happiness because I love them so much. This life is not the end. We lived with Heavenly Father before we came to earth and we can return to live with him if we are faithful.

How I live my faith

The last few years I have been working with the cub scouts. Its been fun to see them grow up from being 8 year olds to 10 year olds. I took them to camp where we shot BB guns and bows and arrows. We also paddled boats around a lake. Before that I taught people about their family history. I helped people find their ancestors and that was really exciting to see them find out about them. I have also worked with 18 month to three year olds teaching them to sing and play with each other and about their Heavenly Father. I also love to visit the women in the neighborhood and talk about the gospel of Jesus Christ.
