Hi I'm Sarah Bjork

I am an aerobatic pilot. I am a blackbelt. I graduated college before high school. I'm a mormon.

About Me

Good day! I'm a missionary! Or, I will be soon:) I graduated highschool/college last Februrary with my generals, and I'm going to be a Certified Flight Instructor when I get back from serving in the California Riverside mission! I love sewing, reading, physical activities, doodling, and hanging out with family and friends:) I love everybody! I do indeed have a pet-peeve though....*shudder* I am not a fan of washing lids. Ohhh......it bothers me. But other than that I'm pretty easy going:) Oh! food! I quite enjoy food! Both the creation and the consumption! I find them quite gratifying! And I loooooovvvveeee my parents;) They're my heroes:) If I could be half the woman my mom is I could take over the world, and if I could be a quarter as talented as my Dad I could take on Captain America no problem:)

Why I am a Mormon

Because it's true! I know without a doubt that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true restored gospel on the earth today, and I am COMPLETELY aware that God the Father lives and that His son Jesus Christ is our savior. How do I know? Well, I never had one BANG moment, it's been gradual and almost imperceptable. Over the years I've had a lot of experiences where I felt confused, angry, alone, hurt, and empty, and through every single one of those moments I felt the hand of God in my life. I KNOW He's there, and I know He cares about me personally. One story I can share is when I was a sophmore in highschool. I had to take a very scary test (I'm not a good test taker, in fact it's one of my worst fears) and a lot depended on it. I was so scared, and I had to do it alone because my family had left for a one-day vacation without me because I needed to take this test. Well, I asked for a special blessing from my dad, and the one phrase I clearly remember was, "He will hold your hand." While I was taking the test I clearly felt as though someone were holding my hand, and I felt calm, at peace, and unafriad. It turns out that I bombed the test, and yet I wasn't crushed. I still felt that impression that someone was holding my hand, and I still felt calm, at peace and unafraid. While driving home that day I heard, well, it wasn't a voice really, it was more of a feeling that I derived words from, but anyway. I felt/heard a very calming voice say, "I love you. You're not stupid because you failed this test. It's going to be okay. Everything happens for a reason, and you will be better because of this experience. It's going to be okay. I love you." From that experience and others I came to a sure and complete knowledge that this is the true church, and that God loves me no matter what.

How I live my faith

I was the leader of the young women's youth group for a while, and as such I helped: orgainze activites, visit other girls in our area (and not in our area, we went all over the place), participate in service projects, perform plays/skits, teach, lead discussions, speak in general meetings, and plan for various futuristic opportunities. I am no longer the president of the Young Women's group, but I still visit other members in our area, make food for people who need help, baby sit, and much to my chagrin I still speak in general meetings on occasion. :)
