Hi I'm Haylee Ham

I am an economics and language-learning enthusiast. I am gluten- and dairy-free. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I just graduated from BYU with degrees in economics and german studies. I am especially passionate about development economics and am applying to masters programs. I am overly excited about things like nonfiction books and data analysis. I returned home early from my mission to Ukraine after I got sick. My time as a missionary was wonderful and challenging and I absolutely fell in love with the Ukrainian people.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I am a feminist. I am a Mormon because I believe in the value of life. I am a Mormon because I believe in change and forgiveness. I am a Mormon because I believe that God loves and lives. I am a Mormon because my faith teaches me to see the good in the world and strive to create an even better one.

How I live my faith

Every day of my life is colored by my faith. I pray for help and strength when I get discouraged. I read the words of the scriptures and modern prophets when I am seeking advice. I plead with the Lord for comfort and I thank him when he invariably grants me that comfort. I am blessed with family and friends and strangers who are examples of greatness to me. Through my calling as Relief Society teacher, I am able to assess and organize what I have learned and the sisters in my ward add to it with their comments and experiences. I plan to continue to learn. I want to keep broadening my mind and correcting my false assumptions. Prayer and scripture study and just living well is the best way I know how to find truth.
