Hi I'm Natasha Lyn Andersen

I'm a BYU student. I'm serving an 18-month mission in Brazil. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a middle child, the second out of four, and I love hanging out with my family! I have a ton of interests/ hobbies: I love being active by playing soccer and running, and I also enjoy camping with my family. I've always loved reading, and my favorite book will always be Harry Potter! I love making art, whether it's drawing, painting, or just being crafty! Anything that requires creativity is right up my alley. I can't live without music; I love singing, playing the piano, and I've recently been learning how to play the guitar. I graduated valedictorian of my high school, and was told I could go anywhere/ be anything I wanted- however, I quickly learned that doesn't matter if I don't know what I want to do. My official major is English, but I'm still searching for my niche. However, I do know that I want to be a mother and raise a family. I love serving others and loving people!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church, but I have gained my own testimony of its truth through study and prayer. I have wonderful parents who taught me the principles of the gospel and have always been examples to me, and I will be forever grateful for them, but I have also learned for myself that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the restored gospel, the only true church on the earth today. I was raised a Mormon because of where I was born, but I chose to remain a Mormon, I am a Mormon, because I have felt God's love for me and His confirmation of the truth. My favorite aspect of the gospel is God's love for us. No matter who you are, what you have done or gone through in your life, you are a child of God and He loves you perfectly. Because He loves us, He gave His Son to atone for our sins so that we can repent. We can have hope through Christ to return to our Father in Heaven and live with our families forever. I love the joy that the gospel brings, the confidence in knowing that I'm trying my best to live how God wants me to, and the knowledge that I am not alone!

How I live my faith

I will soon be leaving my home to serve as a full-time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for eighteen months. I love my family and am going to miss them tremendously, but I love the Lord a little bit more, and I'm excited for the chance I have to give everything to Him! I live my faith every day by reading my scriptures, keeping the covenants I have made at baptism and in the temple, and trying to follow the example of Jesus Christ. I try to love others with the pure love of Christ.
