Hi I'm Heather

I live on a ranch in Nevada. I am a nutritionist. I am a mother of 3. I believe God likes when we ask questions. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

My husband is a rancher and we live in an old ranch house in rural Nevada. I have a college degree and am a nutritionist, but right now I am a full time mother of three little ones. It is crazy, fun, and challenging! I love running, organizing and creating, but lately I seem to stay busy just trying to stay on top of things with our busy young family. My favorite time of day is the quiet morning hours when I can snuggle up with my scriptures and get my head on straight before the craziness of my day begins.

Why I am a Mormon

As a youth I was not taught about God but I always had questions. I loved attending various churches with my friends and learning more about God. When I learned about the teachings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I felt so much goodness and light. That feeling is what first drew me in. Then as I learned more, I realized all my questions could be answered in this Church, it all made so much SENSE! I believe that God loves it when we ASK QUESTIONS, pray to Him to help us find the answers, and then have the faith to search. I know that if you will tell God about your questions and concerns, He will help you find the answers. I hope you will ask Him if you might find answers in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, see what answers the missionaries in your area might have, and what answers the Book of Mormon might have. He will let you know if they are there if you will ask and make an effort to find.

How I live my faith

My job right now in my Church is to teach the 3 and 4 year olds on Sundays, so I prepare fun lessons every week to teach them basic principles of the gospel. I have some kids that come from tough backgrounds and this has helped my realize my most important job is to love them and help them feel their Savior's love. As church members we all help take care of one another, and I am in charge of visiting 3 other families in the ward each month, and serving and helping them whenever they may need it. I love these opportunities to serve, among many others. My greatest responsibility is to live the gospel to my best ability by studying the scriptures, praying, participating in Church meetings, listening to the words of our Prophets, etc so that I can be an example to my children and raise them to be good, responsible members of the community and faithful followers of Christ.
