Hi I'm Whitney

I'm a performer! I'm a student. I'm a soon to be servant of the Lord in Peru! And most importantly, I'm a Mormon. :)

About Me

I'm a performer! Acting is my passion (even though I sometimes lose sight of that!) and ever since I can remember I've loved being on stage! I've traveled to 6 European countries and love learning about the history and culture of different places! Especially when it comes to music. :) I love performing because it allows me to escape the realities of this world and be whoever I want to be! In my free time you can find me watching Netflix with a good bowl of my favorite ice cream, or occasionally getting in to a good book! I try to spend time often with my family because they are my rock in this crazy world. What I've discovered about free time is that it's a precious gift and should be used to do the things we really love that will make us become the best we can be! The chaos of college taught me that. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I don't know where I would be without the knowledge of my Savior Jesus Christ. I love this church and I know that God has made me the woman I am today. I know that God has a plan for each of us, me and YOU! And while that plan at times may seem confusing or difficult or even wrong, with the strength of the Lord and the Book of Mormon which allows us to come to know Jesus Christ more fully, we can discover that plan for our lives and move forward with a sense of direction knowing we are known and loved on this earth. I love knowing that my life has a purpose and as I discover that purpose I am able to understand and deal with the difficulties of this life with strength and peace in my heart. Although I may falter in life like so many of us do, the gospel of Jesus Christ provides a way for us to begin again and to become a better us! This church has given me lifelong friends, mentors, and a sense of duty and purpose in everything I do. Living this faith makes me happy, confident, and gives me peace in life. I am a Mormon and I LOVE it!

How I live my faith

In the past, I've lived my faith by participating in ward choir, various musical numbers, and holiday festivities! At school I enjoyed being a leader of my peers as I organized weekly bonding events and fun stress-relieving activities. Through all of my church callings and services, I've learned that each position no matter how big or small it may seem is incredibly and equally important. I hope to work with the women around me more and am striving to learn to love serving those around me!
