Hi I'm Rebecca Jackson

I'm from California. I love water polo, long boarding, and chemistry. Scotland Ireland Mission || English and BSL speaking.

About Me

I am from California and love the Sun Shine so much! I love adventure. I go to the beach almost as much as I go to Disneyland. I graduated from high school in 2013 and went up to University at BYUI. I spent one year there and studied Chemistry. Then i took an 18 month break from school and served a mission in the Scotland / Ireland mission. I am back in California and excited to see where the adventure of life will take me!

Why I am a Mormon

I love this church with all my heart. I was born into the church, but even I have had that "change of heart" and conversion. After I read The Book of Mormon for the first time and prayed about it, I knew without a doubt that it was true. I know that Joseph Smith prayed to our Heavenly Father and the He saw God the father and his son, Jesus Christ. I know that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon and that it is the true word of God. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet of God on the Earth today and that he receives revelation for everyone in these latter days. I know that Christ's suffering has made it possible for me to return and live with my Heavenly Father again. And I would never deny the things that I know to be true. I am a Mormon. I know it. I live it. I love it.

How I live my faith

Every day as a missionary I live my faith. I talk to people all the time about what I believe and how a belief in the gospel of Jesus Christ has impacted my life. Serving a mission is by far one of the greatest decisions I have ever made and I couldn't be happier. I love being in Scotland and I just adore all the people here! One of the best things I think that I have learned so far since I have been out is how important prayer and scripture study are. I used to take those things for granted, but as a missionary we have time set apart for studying the scriptures and because of that I have begun to notice a change. I have realized how much I love actually studying the scriptures and taking the time each day to sit down and do so rather than mindlessly reading. I am so grateful for prayer as well because through prayer we have the ability to talk directly to our Father in Heaven. Prayer is so powerful and has the ability to help us get through the hardest of times. I have had some of what I would say emotionally terrible times in my life, but because of prayer I was able to get through those awful times. I was able to realize that I am never alone and because of that knowledge I feel blessed beyond measure.
