Hi I'm Tom

I grew up in the Salt Lake Valley in Utah. I like to ski, climb, and eat. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up with 4 sibling. I like the outdoors and I feel like nature is the only way to truly relax. I like learning and one of my favorite subjects is botany.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it gives me peace and balance to my life. When I read from the scripture, go to church, pray, and obey the commandments given in the church I have a more balanced life. The Gospel just lifts the crushing problems of the world. I know that the words of the Book of Mormon are true as it is another testament of Christ. I know that Joseph Smith translated this book and restored Christ's Church in this modern time. I know that Jesus Christ sacrificed himself to bring us back to our Heavenly Father and that the Holy Ghost helps guide us through this life. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ amen.

How I live my faith

I teach kids at church. I think that this is the best calling because you really do learn more from the kids even though that sounds very cliche it is true. I think that all callings in the church are a great way to serve. Service to me is something that is hard to do at first but ultimately makes you much happier in the end. Service is the best way to show your faith and help those around you in the process.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Tom
Yes they do. The Bible is a record just like the Book of Mormon. The Bible and the Book of Mormon also support the same principles and values. They are also both testaments of Christ. Show more Show less
