Hi I'm Zack

I am Zack, and I was born and raised in Utah, in the United States. I am about to serve a mission in Taiwan.

About Me

I have graduated from high school this past June, and I am planning on attending the University of Utah after I go on my mission to Taiwan, which I leave for on January 7th, 2015. I follow soccer, and am a fan of the Real Salt Lake soccer team. I enjoy hanging out with friends, running and rock climbing. I have received the Eagle Scout Award in Scouting as well as a Bronze Palm, which is the award received after completing the Eagle Scout Award.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, because both of my parents are LDS. I was able to learn about the gospel from a young age, and I remember my decision to get baptized when I turned 8. I believed that this was the true church, and when I was baptized, I became certain of it. When I was baptized, that was the first time I remember feeling the Holy Ghost, and it was so powerful I couldn't deny that I was born into the correct church. Through out my life I remember being able to feel the Holy Ghost as I read the Book of Mormon and prayed about it. I was and still am able to continually feel the Holy Ghost as I live and strive to follow the Lord's example. I am so blessed and grateful to be a member of the LDS church, and I know that the Lord looks out for me protects me. I am a Mormon, because I have a firm belief in the truth and light of its gospel, and I want to share these truths and blessings with others.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing my best to follow the Lord's commandments. I participate in church and visit with other families in the ward to make sure they're doing well, to give a spiritual lesson and help them if they're in need. I often find myself around lots of non-members, who have different views and lifestyles, so it is so much more important to me to follow God's commandments, because I believe that as 1 Timothy 4:12 says, "Be an example unto the believers," so by following this scripture, I am able to show others what I believe in, which can sometimes become a great teaching opportunity. I am able to show others that I am happy in life and happy to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
