Hi I'm Kellie Monk

I am an avid sports fan, a college student, a lover of laughter, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Even though I was born and raised in the church, I am a convert. I love tennis, and I played on my high school team for 4 years, I also love basketball, football, and soccer. I am a college student and I love it! Life is a blessing, and we should always look at the positives. I will be serving as a missionary in Argentina, Comodoro Rivadavia! I will leave on June 3rd, 2015!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love Jesus Christ. As I said earlier, I am a convert to Mormonism even though I was born and raised attending the Mormon church. No matter whether you've known about the church forever, or you find out much later in your life, everyone needs to gain a knowledge of truth for themselves. After a lot of praying and reading scripture I felt the love of my Savior. I know that with Him I can do anything. I can receive comfort and rescue in the darkest, saddest times of my life. When I study the scriptures, or pray, or attend church, I feel close to my Savior, and I feel his love. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being a positive example to others. I have a lot of friends who are not of my faith, and some that are, but have a hard time living some of the principles. The thing I love to do, is share my testimony by being friends with people and showing them that our Father in Heaven loves them, and sharing the happiness that I have received from the gospel of Jesus Christ.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Kellie Monk
A testimony is a personal knowledge. People gain a testimony from feelings given to us by the Holy Ghost. Testimonies are founded on knowledge of God (Heavenly Father), and Jesus Christ our Savior. Show more Show less
