Hi I'm Bryce

I grew up in Southern California. I was on water polo and swim teams. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just finished my first year at college, which was a great experience. I love sports and I found many friends there who shared my passions. I also loved my studies there. I haven't decided on a major yet but I have narrowed it down to two options: engineering or physics. Those are still pretty broad options but I really discovered that I love dealing with the physical world, and figuring out how it works. I am the youngest of four children in a great family. My oldest sister has two of the cutest little daughters in the world and I love them to death. We are all SCUBA certified, and we enjoy delving into the ocean and seeing cool underwater creatures. My dad and I love to bond as we tear down the ski slopes in the steepest and deepest powder we can find.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family. My family has been so amazingly blessed by this gospel. I have questioned whether I truly believed in this church or if I just followed it because my parents did, so I put that to the test with the Lord. I sincerely read from the Book of Mormon and I prayed about it. I prayed hard about it, and I felt the truth of it. I have also looked at it from a logical viewpoint. I considered the values that this church teaches and I found that they were healthy and pure. I considered the coming forth of the Book of Mormon. I reasoned that no man, let alone a young man with very little schooling, could have just made the Book of Mormon up. It is historically accurate, contains many different writing styles, and does not contradict itself or the Bible. But reasoning alone is not enough to convince me to live the gospel. I have felt God's love, and He has shown me that this is His church. I have seen it bless so many lives, including my own, and I know that it is guided and run by the Lord.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by helping others to grow. My favorite thing about this church is that we have so much opportunity to help those around us. As a younger kid I used to grumble and fight it some, but as I verge on adulthood I look back very gratefully at all the service projects we did as a group. I have also committed to serve a two year full time mission for the church. In preparation, I have been sharing this gospel that I love with others whom I know it can bless. I have had the opportunity to join the missionaries serving near me as they teach wonderful people whose lives are blessed by it.
