Hi I'm Chanda

I am a University of Arizona Wildcat. I love going to concerts, volunteering, and reading.

About Me

I recently graduated from the University of Arizona with a BA in Psychology. I am trying to find my place in the world and looking forward to serving a mission in California. I am a professional nanny and I love learning new things. I enjoy a lot of different styles of music, but not country.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Mormon but didn't realize how much it meant to me until I was in college. The most peace I felt was at church. I knew I could always turn to God and I developed a close relationship with Him as I prayed for help in all of my activities. I have felt His hand and guidance in my life too many times to deny it.

How I live my faith

I work with the youngest members of our church in what we call the nursery. Every week during Sunday School I help tend and teach children 18 months-3 years. I am preparing to serve a mission in California for 18 months! I leave December 2014. I'm excited to help those who are seeking find the truth.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Chanda
I used to have a hard time with this question, because I felt many Mormons crossed the line between worshipping (not okay) and respecting (definitely okay) Joseph Smith. Now I realize we respect Joseph Smith because he was the instrument God chose to use to help us know God and Jesus Christ again. Through Joseph Smith and the work he did while on the earth, we can know more about our Father in Heaven and our Savior, Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
