Hi I'm Joy

I grew up in a small town in Southern Utah. I teach school. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am blessed with an exceptional family. I'm not married and have no children, but I love my 16 nieces and nephews as if they were my own. I'm a school teacher, and I have amazing students. I also enjoy being outdoors, hunting, riding 4 wheeler's, woodworking, working on projects, and anything I can do with my family. I'm a Mormon, and love the gospel of Jesus Christ with all my heart. It has made me a better person.

Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has provided me with clarity and perspective in this world where everything changes and standards are fleeting. I know where to turn for help and guidance. I know where to turn for peace and hope. I am blessed with contentment and happiness as I strive to follow my Savior, Jesus Christ. I know He lives. I know He came to earth to teach us, to set an example for us, and to save our souls from sin. I know as we continue on this earthly journey, that we are not alone. In all of my life, through trials and difficulties, God has never abandoned me. God, our Father, does hear and answer prayers and has done so over and over again in my life. I know He loves me, I know He is there. I know He loves each of us and wants us to return to live with Him again. He has blessed us with a living prophet and apostles to guide and direct our paths. He has also blessed us with scriptures, with temples, with opportunities to gain knowledge and experiences, with families that truly are eternal, and with prayer. All of these blessings provide help, peace, hope, and help me to gain a deeper understanding of who I truly am and what really matters. These blessings are available to all through our Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ. He loves us so much. Through the atonement, all can be made right, every wrong can be fixed, and we can be made whole again. What comfort, what joy, and what gratitude this gives me. I love Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, but more importantly, I know They love me! This is my testimony--how grateful I am for it, it is everything to me.

How I live my faith

I study and learn about Jesus Christ daily. I help teach the women in my ward about our Savior, Jesus Christ, and we strive to become closer to Heavenly Father together. I love my neighbors and community--they truly are like family to me, and I look for ways to serve them as often as I can. I contribute financially every month to help support missionary work and the distribution of The Book of Mormon, as these are both very important to me. I am truly blessed by my involvement in my church and community.
