Hi I'm Anthony

I'm a convert to the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and am preparing to serve a mission in Lima Peru. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I grew up in California. I love martial arts. I have been training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for over 4 years. I joined the LDS church in 2012. I am currently preparing to serve a mission in Lima Peru from 2014-2016.

Why I am a Mormon

I decided to join this church after I had left the catholic faith. I had always wanted a close relationship with God and I just wasn't feeling that within the catholic church. I was at a point in my life that I didn't feel like I knew who I was or where I was heading. A friend of mine had noticed my behavior and wanted to change me for the better so he introduced me to the missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ. To me, this opportunity to speak to the missionaries really helped me and from then on I had a feeling that I knew this church was true. Everything they had taught me made complete sense to me and I felt amazing. Prior to speaking with them I had given up on religion and did not want to join any church and normally I would have said no to speaking with any representatives from any church. I am so grateful because that opportunity did not have to come by me, I did not have to say yes to speaking to them, but for some reason I decided to talk to them. I'm a mormon because I love the way I feel about myself every single day and I love having a very close relationship with my Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through service. I frequently go and reach out to those who are in need of service or comfort. I teach children at church about what the gospel is and help them understand basic principles such as faith, honesty, and respect. As much as I can I talk about the church to those who are unfamiliar with it such as my friends or family who aren't members.
