Hi I'm Jhinny Ariya

& I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am currently a student at the Australian Catholic University studying Bachelor of Commerce/Global studies. I love being able to spend time with my family; that consists of 3 boys & 3 girls (including myself). I come from very diverse family. My mom is Thai/Indian & my dad is Cambodian ( I know its crazy). Growing up I was taught and able to speak Thai, Cambodian & German. I am a very competitive, honest and straight forward person. I love to socialise with people from all different kinds of countries and who speak different languages. I love to play sports especially basketball, soccer and volleyball. I am a qualified nurse, I am not currently working as one or thinking of pursuing this career, as I feel, it was just not for me .At this moment I have a very big interest in Corporate law, I , one day want to be able to help make a difference with my degrees and make the world a better place. And as a result of wanting to make a difference to the world a better place, I have received many promptings to go and serve a full time mission for 18 months. I know by doing this I will be able to not only help myself be like Christ, but to be able to help others know and learn to come unto him.

Why I am a Mormon

As I entered the waters of baptism on June, 16th 2012 my life has changed. I am a convert to the church and the only member in my family. I love being a Mormon, I am proud to say I am a Mormon. As convert in the church I have learned to know the truth of what exaltation is all about. The Church of Jesus Christ has taught me to know that we have a prophet this day on earth Thomas S, Monson who guides us and receives revelation from God. As a Mormon, I have learned to be patient, humble and loving to everyone around me. It has taught me to be loving to those around you, to forgive those who do you wrong and know that there is always someone there that is looking after you. Growing up, I didn't have a lot. In saying that I didn't know who I really was. I have been through so much, and I know I wouldn't have been able to get through it if it wasn't for the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I was able to rely fully rely on Jesus Christ to help strengthen me, and now I have learned to understand that these things were suppose to happen to help me. I have been able to smile, live and know who I am now. I am a Daughter of our Kind Heavenly Father. He cares for me and loves me. I know that I have a lot to do, and although sometimes I may feel small I know that I have our Brother Jesus Christ & Heavenly Father. I know that we have Councillors & a Bishop who cares and loves for us. I know without a doubt that Thomas S. Monson is living prophet today. I love the Church so much and all it has done for me. And I say all this in the name of our Saviour, Brother Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I love to share, I love to share the gospel in so many various ways. Every single day, I strive to do the best I can to be better, be more Christ like, humble, patient, diligent and loving. And I know the more I read my scriptures and serve others I am growing closer and building a relationship with God. Going to Church every single I have been able to receive inner peace and feel of the love that the Gospel brings into my life. I have calling as a Ward Missionary, I have been so blessed to be able to have many missionary opportunities to share the Book of Mormon and bring others unto christ. As a Ward Missionary, and as a sister prepping for her mission, I love to encourage members and non members to engage in church activities and discussions. In saying this I have had so many struggles to engage myself and feel motivated to come out and engage in these activities but, I have found through pray and reading my scriptures has made me learn to love and have a strong desire to serve others. I feel in my heart a heavy burden being lifted off as I fully exalt in helping others.
