Hi I'm Lauren Brown

I'm from Northern Virginia, I'm a student at BYU, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a full-time student studying elementary education. I'm originally from Northern Virginia, but I've also lived in North Carolina, Utah, and Pennsylvania. I love ballet and I've danced for 13 years. When I'm not living the life of a crazy-busy student, I love spending time with my family, reading, and eating good food.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I believe that God loves His children, and because as I live the gospel I can feel His love for me in my life. I also feel His love for others when I have opportunities to serve them inside and outside of the church. One of the greatest ways that I feel my Heavenly Father's love for me is by reading the Book of Mormon. Similar to when I read the Bible, reading the Book of Mormon gives me hope. Its message is that Jesus Christ has the power to save us. I love this message. It has carried me through heartache and sorrow, and has provided hope, joy, and peace that I could not find anywhere, but through my Savior. Simply put, I am Mormon because I believe in Jesus Christ, and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints teaches me of Him, and invites me to know Him better.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by reaching out to people who need to know that someone at church wants to see them, or people who need help or service. I also live my faith by trying to live my life the way that God would have me live it. I try to make good choices and uplift others. Recently, I decided to live my faith by serving a full-time mission. I was called to teach people about Jesus Christ in the Japan Fukuoka area.

What do Mormons believe about “eternal life?”

Lauren Brown
We believe that life continues after death, and that every person will be resurrected. We believe that if we live worthily we can return to live in the presence of our Heavenly Father, and His son Jesus Christ in perfect joy. We can also live with our families forever. We believe that God loves us, and wants these blessing for each of His children, but that we have the power to choose to follow Him, or to choose something else. Show more Show less
