Hi I'm Sarah Jane Bybee

I am a mother of two beautiful boys, daughter, teacher, artist and I am Mormon

About Me

I love books every kind and length, currently reading six. Yes, I am a bookworm. Grammar and spelling have never been my strong suits as well as math. Give me, History and I will devour it. I love movies, my husband says I have too many currently at 500, I believe. I love being a substitute teacher for Head Start, I currently have 140 kids that I love. I am from a large Italian, German, Scotch/Irish family. We are loud, crazy and proud. My two sons are my heart and soul. I love helping people in anyway I can. I love making things with my hands, especially from clay, nothing better than playing in mud. And I love my friends, who are my family as well.

Why I am a Mormon

From an early age, I learned from my parents about Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. My mother's side is Italian so I was raised in the Roman Catholic Church. I saw her example of service through working with the youth. And my father's example of just helping people when they needed it, no matter how busy he was. Even when he worked two or three jobs. I was happy but not completely whole. Something was missing inside me. It wasn't until I was nineteen, when a set of Missionaries came to my door. That the void started to fill and I was truly happy. Not going to lie I have made mistakes, I am not perfect and I don't try to be. But I do try to better myself everyday that I am on this earth. Through the lessons and members of the Church, turns out half my friends were Mormon, and I didn't have a clue. That I found what my parents had taught all along being put into practice. "Faith without works is dead." James 2:14-26. We can become like Christ and become one in him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday, from the small things of just seeing a butterfly or the larger things of making it home safely or surviving another three year old melt down because their world has ended with the word 'No'. I know my Heavenly Father's hands are in all things and he sees all things. I may not always know why things are done the way they are or why they happen. But I firmly believe that there is a greater purpose to this life. And everyone's mission is to be an angel to someone and to spread unconditional love regardless of differences. To help change lives, by serving and putting into practice what is taught to us.
