Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ because I finally found the greatest source of joy! :) When I was 16 I thought worldly things ( popularity, clothes, money, cars, attending social events and "keeping up with the Jones's ") is what would keep me happy. It never did. I was always looking for that new thing to make me happy. I decided I would try practicing what I was taught - living the way Christ would have me live. I prayed often, I began reading from the Book of Mormon and the Holy Bible. One day I realized that I was happier than I had ever been and I hadn't needed to hang with friends, shop for new clothes or worry what others thought of me for three weeks. One Sunday while at church I was overcome with this burning firey warm strong sensation in my heart. It was so strong I felt my heart would burst ftom my chest. I realized it was the Spirit of God acknowledging to me that what I was doing was right and that the gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was the true church. It was indeed God's church. I was tried and tested for months to revert back to the way I was but I chose to hold strong. I never wanted to let go of the gospel. I didn't want to feel sad and lonely ever again. The extreme, sincere and full feeling of joy that I get from living this gospel is incredible. It can't be fabricated anywhere else. I am a Mormon! :)

How I live my faith

Everyday I strive to live my faith by praying morning & night, reading from the Book of Mormon & Bible daily, holding daily family scripture study, morning & evening family prayer, attending all of my church meetings on Sundays, attending the temple often, taking my children to their church meetings throughout the week, serve with the missionaries, serve others by smiling at them, talking to them & thanking them for sharing their time & talents with me & others & showing love to everyone I meet.
