Hi I'm McKenna

Outdoors, food, music, dancing are my passion. But more than anything I LOVE living the gospel of Jesus Christ! I am a Mormon!

About Me

Let's see, about me. Well I am crazy. I am definitely one of a kind. Or as my family and friends say I am "special" (: I am the oldest of four and grew up in the church. I love anything crazy, fun, outdoors and not of the norm. I have learned to love being weird and to embrace it. I love the outdoors. I love adventures and seeing new things and places. One of my biggest things that have my heart are children! I think they are the best! I have a huge desire to dedicate my life in helping all the children I can! But most importantly I love my Savior and being His disciple. I strive to live my life in a way that I can embrace His gospel and teachings in all I do. I LOVE the gospel and I love to share it! I am currently a full time missionary for the church serving in the Spanish speaking mission of Fort Worth Texas! Best thing ever! I love life, even when it's hard, I love learning new things and learning how to become closer to my Savior!

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member of the church. I was born into it. Growing up though was a challenge. We were constantly moving and it was becoming harder and harder to make friends and to really find my place. However the lord was always by my side. I have never felt so much comfort in peace in times of trial and heartache. I realized how much much the lord loves and cares for all his children. Something that really sealed the deal for me in staying and continuing in the church was the atonement. That no matter where I am or what I have done, with my saviors help I can overcome anything and be forgiven of my sins. This was just a reassurance that though I may slip up at times I am never alone and can always become forgiven of my sins. Not only can I be forgiven of my sins, but that through the hard aches and pain others have caused me, my Savior is there. He knows how I feel. He knows how to take all misery away. It requires us to allow him in our lives and embrace the gift of the atonement every day. I have lived my life with out the gospel, and it was one of the most devastating moment and time in my life. I was in a deep state of hurt and confusion. Then when I was at my lowest points my Savior picked me up and placed me on the path that I was suppose to be on. He gave me a way back to Him. He showed me the way. He was there every step of the way. I have felt His hand play a huge part in my life. I have felt the love he has for me and the good works this gospel brings. For this I am eternally grateful and will forever strive to live his gospel and to spread his good works to others. He is my rock. He is the light of my life. He is the reason I am here serving a full time mission today. After experiencing such love and help in my life how could I not be Mormon? This gospel brings miracles of happiness, joy and a closeness to my Savior and Heavenly Father. For this is why I am a Mormon!

How I live my faith

The biggest way I try and live my faith is by dedicating my life to the service of the Lord. He is my light and the way home. For Him I am eternally indebted. For His love and grace for me I have a desire to serve Him daily in any way I can. For that, this is why I put all future life plans in bringing the gospel to others. I strive to do this every day by turning out ward. Instead of turning in and thinking how I can help my self I think of how I can help others. Though I am weak and fall short most often, it is a daily task of turning myself to the Lord. I think the simple acts of service and being obedient is the way all of us can show our faith to our Savior. I am not living this life I have been given to please myself, I was given this life to return to my Savior and to help all those I can on my way home. Loving others and serving them as the Lord, our Savior would have done is the biggest way I can live my faith and show my love for Him. Luke 9: 23,24 " 23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. 24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it."
