Hi I'm Sharon

I have a dear husband and 22 grandchildren and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a veteran of the US Navy and married to a retired sailor. I served as a volunteer firefighter and have raised animals and vegetables as well as children. I like to quilt, work puzzles, hike, backpack and read. I am interested in history and July 4th, Independence Day, is my favorite holiday. I don't eat blue M&M's and I think spiders are just creepy.

Why I am a Mormon

When I knew that the gospel was true, I knew my whole life was going to change for the better. I had finally found the answers to my questions. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me as an individual and is aware of my needs and desires. I testify that Jesus Christ lives and that through His Atonement and crucifixion He has made it possible for me to return to live with Heavenly Father if I do my part. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and will give me direction and peace. I know that Joseph Smith was called to restore the gospel of Jesus Christ and he was the first prophet in this dispensation and Thomas S. Monson is the prophet today. I testify that Joy comes from living the gospel. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I go to meetings and church and activities and try to be of service wherever I can. I love my visiting teaching sisters and my companion. I am preparing to go on a full-time mission with my husband and I am so excited to begin that adventure.
