Hi I'm Jory

I grew up in the United States. I was on the swim team in my high school and I love the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a couple years out of high school with a semester of college done and am now preparing to serve a mission. I was a swimmer in my high school and those were some of the greatest times of my life. I loved the great exercise and the competition of the sport, but most of all I loved the friends I made doing it. I also love the outdoors. Ever since joining the Boy Scouts of America and even before I grew up loving camping, hiking, fishing, backpacking, and shooting. I even spent two summers working for a fishing lodge in Alaska because of my great love of the outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in this church and I believe that the moral compass that this church has blessed me with has blessed my life. Also knowing where I have come from as well as my purpose is great too. I know that this church is true, I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and that God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ revealed this church and all of its keys unto him. I know that the Book of Mormon is a true book that was written for us in our time. Most of all I believe in the redeeming power of The Atonement of our Savior and have felt its power in my life and I am excited to share it with others when I serve a mission for this church. I believe that through this gospel and The Atonement everybody can find true happiness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by diligently studying the scriptures daily and keeping up with consistent personal prayer. I also have lived my faith by doing my best in my church callings. I always strive to serve others. I also try be an example to others by just being the best person I can be.
