Hi I'm Letiesha Tahere

I was born and raised in New Zealand. I was baptised on June 2, 2012 along with 8 other family members. I am a Mormon!

About Me

I'm pretty outgoing and love to be happy. I have a really big family,11 siblings!!! and I love it! I enjoy dancing, singing and going out on adventures. I wear my heart on my sleeve, laugh hard, cry easily to sad movies and will not watch scary movies. I like to make others happy. I've experienced a lot in my short life so I feel like I can relate to almost everyone. In the future my goal is to study creative arts, specifically creative writing and/or land law. My family is very important to me they have taught so much.

Why I am a Mormon

Plain and simple one night I called out to God for help I was in a dark place in life, I was really lost and I began asking myself why am I here on this earth, what is my purpose and who am I. Immediately after this I heard a knock at the door, it was two missionaries, one told me they were from the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. When I heard this a feeling of familiarity and excitement came into my heart and I thought to myself this is exactly what I have been waiting for. They didn't stay for long but we made plans that night for my baptism. When I closed that door that night I cried tears of joy and I felt so at peace for the first time in so many years, I knew God heard me. Before I opened that door that night I was crying tears of pain but when I closed that door I felt the love of God in such a powerful way that it healed my heart and the weight on my shoulders were lifted. I began to study and pray real hard about the Book of Mormon, I felt that same powerful feeling but it got stronger! I learned about the Holy Ghost and I knew that it was the power that I was feeling confirming to me over and over again that what I was reading was true. Still to this day 2 years and 6 months later I can say I know this church is true, through the power of the Holy Ghost and I Know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ lives and has lead me to where I am today. My family also joined the church 4 months after me and are still going strong to this day.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others through teaching at church, helping others out where I can and I will be leaving to go on a full-time mission this year (2015) to serve the Lord and the people of Colorado. I strive each and everyday to be better at keeping the commandments of God and be an example of what I believe. Faith without works is dead, so I let my faith show by the way I act and speak. I try to study the scriptures and pray everyday. I live my faith the same way even when people are not watching because I know God is.
