Hi I'm Braden

I am serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Argentina Córdoba Mission. I am a Mormon!

About Me

I was born into a wonderful family! I grew up in Illinois where there wasn't much of an LDS population. I am the third child out of four. I enjoy different sports such as basketball, volleyball, and tennis. I love playing musical instruments! I play the saxophone and guitar the best but I also can play all brass instruments fairly well. I am a graduate of high school and am going to college after I serve my mission! I enjoy film making and broadcasting. I am an easy going person and I get along well with many different people!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a good family that has a strong foundation on Christ. Throughout all my years, I have been taught the doctrines and principles of the LDS faith. I was not one of those people who rebelled against my parents or that even had a questionable testimony. I have always known that this church is true. I have had many experiences that have boosted my love and understanding of this wonderful gospel. I will share an experience that I had around age 15. I was simply riding my bike to my friends house just like I would always do when I wanted to hang out with him. As I went to cross the street I did the same old routine just like every other time. I looked both ways and did not notice any cars. I proceeded to cross the street with in my bike. Just down the road, a car was speeding right towards me. I was in the middle of their lane when they quickly swerved around me barely missing me. I noticed as the passed by that they were on their cell phone. Combined with that distraction and me being in the middle of their lane, it was a miracle that I wasn't hit by them as I could have been easily killed. I knew at that moment that the lord had protected me and that if it wouldn't have been for that protection I would not be here today. I owe him everything. This is one of many experiences where I have had the truthfulness testified to me by the Holy Ghost. I know that we have a modern day prophet and that he leads and guides us based on God's will. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the one true church that was restored by the prophet Joseph Smith. I know this without a doubt.

How I live my faith

I am very active in my ward. I attend church for 3 hours each Sunday to worship and learn about the gospel of Jesus Christ. I also do something called home teaching. That means visiting specific families in the ward regularly to discuss how they are doing, what their needs are, and also to share a simple message. I enjoy being an active part of my ward and love participating in all the fun activities we have around the holidays!
