Hi I'm Parker

I grew up in a small town in Idaho. I love to mountain bike. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love being outdoors. Whether it is doing a 50 miler backpacking trip or fishing or camping, I love to see what God has created for us. I love to mountain bike. I like to hit jumps and I enjoy and invigorating climb to the top of a mountain. When I was eight years old, I was baptized in Lake Atitlan in Guatemala. Basketball is my favorite sport to play. I am serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, in San Fernando California. I am learning Spanish.

Why I am a Mormon

I know for a fact that this church is true. I remember a few experiences very vividly that shaped my testimony and solidified that this church is true. I believe that prayer is real. It does not matter what faith you belong to, if you are praying for a purpose, I believe that He hears you. I was struggling one day with a lot of doubt about being a Mormon. I knelt down and said a prayer and asked God if this church was true and if it was right and my heart started to feel a burning sensation and my mind was calmed and His spirit was there, telling me that everything was going to be okay. And that the things that Christ taught when he was on the earth and the power that He had was on the earth again. The fullness of His gospel was restored by Joseph Smith and is here in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Another time was when i was hiking in the Wind River Range in Wyoming. It is an immense landscape of craggy granite peaks as far as the eye can see. I remember climbing one day and looking out at the beautiful spread before me and knowing that God lives and that He created this beautiful world for us to live in. These things i know are true and testify of in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I have served as a leader in my ward for many years. Whether it was president of a group of young men, or first assistant of another group of young men. Ive worked with the scouting program as a junior scout master. i have loved growing close with those that i work with in my callings.
