Hi I'm Sam

I'm a podiatrist, a wife, a mother of 5 children and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy photography, scrapbooking, card making, gardening and listening to music. I have been married for 24 years and have 5 wonderful children. I recently graduated with a degree in podiatry and love meeting new people and sharing experiences with them.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the church when I was a small baby and I've been going ever since. I have always loved going to church and learning about the Saviour, however, there was a time in my teenage years when I wondered whether I was going to church for my parents sake or mine. During this time, I prayed to know whether the church was true and had a wonderful confirmation that indeed it was and I was definitely doing the right thing. I love the gospel. The knowledge I have gained over the years I have been a member have helped me throughout my life. I know my Saviour lives and loves me. I know that we are here for a purpose and that this life is a time to prepare to meet God. I am grateful for a living Prophet who gives us the word of God today. I know Joseph Smith, the first Prophet of these last days, saw God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ and restored the gospel here on the earth in our day. I know the book he translated, which we know as the Book of Mormon is true. I have read it and feel of its power every time I do. I am grateful that I have the gospel in my life.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as the ward music leader and teach the adult Sunday school class. I've just started the ward choir again and can't wait to get into a routine of singing in sacrament meeting and practicing new songs.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Sam
I have been a member all of my life and so the lifestyle I lead I have done so for a long time and know nothing else. Typically I do everything the same as everyone else, except my day starts with dropping my eldest son to a church study group at 6.15am each week day morning. During the day I pray, study the scriptures, prepare church lessons and try to be a better person by following the example of my Saviour and living the gospel teachings. I live with my husband and children in a small house that I wish were a little bigger! We enjoy doing things together as a family especially camping in the summer. Show more Show less
