Hi I'm Ivette Orozco

I am one of 13 (12 Living) children, I have an AMAZING Husband named Jared, and I Love being a Mormon!!

About Me

I am one of 13 (12 living) children and have the most AMAZINGLY Wonderful Husband I could have ever prayed for!! He truly is AMAZING!! I've been a member of the LDS church for over 10 years and these have been the BEST years of my Life! I love to eat, workout (because I eat), do crafts, read (especially religious materials), teach, and sleep...I LOVE to sleep. I've been in the military for over 20 years (hence the working out), and love service. In fact, Serving other, family/church/military, is the Greatest endeavor of my Life!!

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? You ask....I am like you. I laugh, I cry, I’ve felt hope and despair, I’ve though the world would end when I a long relationship ended and then was elated when another began, I’ve felt the loss of a loved one and the joy of loving someone new. And although I’ve always known there is a God, I didn’t really know ‘WHO’ God is…at least as He related to me. In 1996 I was invited to read the Book of Mormon and was a bit insulted to be honest, because I just KNEW there couldn’t be any other volume of Holy Scripture than the Holy Bible. So a few years went by from when I first met the ‘Mormons’ then I found myself in place of utter hopelessness…I’m always amazed that we (people in general) most always wait until despair is upon us before we realize that there is no earthly help and we must ‘reach-out-to-heaven’ to ease our pain. So at this dark place in my life I knelt in prayer and asked the God of Heaven, in whom I believe, to help me and to show me the way out of the pit of despair…and you know what, HE DID! I was so happy that I knew the truth, not because anyone told me did I believe it…it was when I prayed and felt the Holy Spirit of Promise imprint it in my heart as a branding iron would the flesh, that I realized that I am a Loved Daughter of a Heavenly Father who loves me. A Father who has sent His willing Son, Jesus Christ, to suffer all things so that He could be my Savior and I could, even though I will fail often, have the opportunity to return home to my Father. So I invite you to read, as does the last two paragraphs of the Book of Mormon Introduction “We invite all men everywhere to read the Book of Mormon, to ponder in their hearts the message it contains, and then to ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ if the book is true. Those who pursue this course and ask in faith will gain a testimony of its truth and divinity by the power of the Holy Ghost. (See Moroni 10:3–5.)" What are you waiting for...just pray!!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving the youth of my home ward, by Visiting Teaching, by looking for opportunities to share the Gospel, gathering family history, and by volunteering and attending the Holy Temple.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Ivette Orozco
You ARE a LOVED Child of a Father in Heaven who LOVES YOU!! Prayer is the simplest yet most profound means of communication and the way you can get to know your Heavenly Father better...all you have to do is start by asking: "God, are you there?" and express whatever is in your heart....Heavenly Father will hear you and will answer your prayers...perhaps not instantaneously, but He will answer your prays. Remember, Sometimes the Lord Calms the Storm...but other times...the Lord lets the Storm RAGE and CALMS YOU!! And never are you alone in the Storm! Show more Show less

What is the Book of Mormon?

Ivette Orozco
It is Another Testament of Jesus Christ. Heavenly Father Loves us so much that He wants us to know that He loves all His Children the same and that this whole world and all its people are His and He communicates to ALL! He is the God of all the World! Jesus Christ IS His Only Begotten Son in the flesh and Our Redeemer. He Lives! Show more Show less
