Hi I'm Kaylee

I am a sister of four. I cook and write. I am a counselor for youth leadership camps. I grew up in Utah. I love being a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a counselor at several youth camps for the past two years. I help kids learn about self confidence and being leaders in a world that is often too scared to stand up for what they know to be right. My favorite part of the camp is that I am able to watch these kids become happy and excited about life and are then able to share that happiness with their friends back home. I am currently writing children's books. It has been a fun growing experiences for me and I hope to be able to publish a novel within the next few years. Right now I am going to collage. I am studying business with an emphasis in culinary arts. I LOVE to cook! My goal is to open a restaurant after I graduate. In my free time I like to go with my friends on hikes or go swimming in lakes. I try to spend as much time as I can outdoors. I love to look around and see all of the gifts that God has created for you and me. Sometimes I will go sit under a tree and just listen to the wind rusel through the leaves and smell the aroma of the earth. I am often in awe of just how intricate the world is and the love God must feel to have created it all for me.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the peace that this gospel has given me in life. Every time I pray and ask for help and look for an answer He is there. He often sends comfort when I am low in heart and sends joy through my soul when I do good. I have learned so much about how to have better relationships with my family and my friends. I have never had as much joy in my life as I have had while reading the scriptures and studying the doctrine for myself. I know that God is my Heavenly Father and I have felt His love for me in my life as I have lived these gospel principles. As I have fallowed the prompting of the Holy Ghost I have blessed many people lives. I have done a good deed or said a kind word right when the other person needed it most. And he has sent the same kind of loving person to me when I have needed it. I have learned how to do business work better by living these standards and building positive relationships with others. So much joy has been added to my from life from living these gospel standards. And I know that I can learn to gain even more. Just as everyone can as they study and learn to grow for themselves. I want to invite all to be happy, and say to them that this is the place that the most joy can be found. I know. Come and try these wonderful things for yourself.

How I live my faith

I have served my church by visiting those who need a smile. I taught gospel principles in church while I was in college and even did genealogical work while indexing (where you transfer names form old records on to the computer so that everyone can look up their ancestors and do temple work for them) in my free time at college. I did the Italian names found on some of the birth records. The best part is that everyone can do this from anywhere by logging on to familysearch.org! Right now I am in the Baltic's teaching people about the church through missionary work. I also teach through example by standing up for what is right even when others do not agree. I am blessed so much from this and I know that Heavenly Father really cares about me by the good friends and opportunities He has given me in my life. Come and see!
