Hi I'm Megan

I grew up in Texas. I have the greatest family on the planet. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a 19 year old gal that's been a tomboy from the very beginning. I've lived and breathed sports for as long as I can remember. I specialized in basketball and volleyball:) However.. I can't say I'm as agile as I once was. I'll fess up to that. I eventually attended college, and suddenly I had to learn to prioritize and sports sort of fell by the way side. But any chance I get to pick up a basketball I'll snag it right away! Spending time with those who matter most in this life is something I cherish. My family and friends are the greatest support system and always have been! I've truly been blessed with the best!

Why I am a Mormon

I live in this world, but I strive each and every day not to be OF this world. There are so many things in this world that are trying to pull us down, but the gospel will never have that capability. Not ever. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only true church upon the earth today. I know it with all that I am. I know our Heavenly Father loves us in a way that is incomprehensible..He loved us enough to send his Only Begotten Son to die for us. Christ suffered EVERY SINGLE PAIN so that we, brothers and sisters, never would have to. He performed the Atonement, and I know that because of that I can be forgiven if I humble myself and repent of my weaknesses and my imperfections. Because of the Atonement we are given third, fourth, fifth, and sixth chances. It's a beautiful thing. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God and by its truths, we can learn of how to walk in the ways of our Lord, our Savior. He is The Way, The Truth, and The Light. I will never doubt it, for I know it to be true with all my heart. I leave these things with you humbly in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

My faith means the world to me. I try to emulate Christ every day in any way I can. Christ worked miracles, and we are capable of doing just the same. We can create mini miracles for those around us with each day we live. There is always someone who's lost and is crying out for help. It's up to us to seek out opportunities to love and serve our brothers and sisters. Visiting teaching is a constant reminder to me that we are all disciples of Christ and we can show our love in even the simplest of ways. Simply giving someone a call, offering to babysit, providing a meal, or even just listening to what the person has to say are ways of giving of ourselves and focusing on the individual..not on ourselves and our own selfish wants. "..the humble shall be exalted, but the exalted shall be humbled.." We need to strip our pride and use our own personal talents to bless the lives of others.
