Hi I'm Krystal

I grew up in Utah and LA. I'm a mom of 3 beautiful children, and an artist

About Me

I'm a single mom of three beautiful children. I absolutely love being a mom. We have Gum Mondays, Cookie Thursdays, Ice Cream Fridays, and Operation Sweets (a game where my children run across the house, dodging my rapid fire Nurf darts, risking their lives, to get their desert on the other side). We have fun. My youngest is three, and I've chosen to stay at home with her, as with all my children. I wouldn't have it any other way. I also have my own design business that makes it so I can always be with my kids when they are home. I'm able to schedule my drawing lessons, design clients, or work on commission projects when they are at school, napping, or at their dads. Being a stay at home parent isn't always an option. I'm grateful that i made that choice, and for the blessing in my life that have made it possible for me to raise my little ones. I grew up doing a little bit of everything. I worked in corporate right out of high school. I also went to college full time and got my degree in graphic design at 19. I loved what I did, and enjoyed working in a professional setting. I got married and had my first child when I was 23. At which point, I decided I would stay at home, and raise my son. I sold my house, and my car. It was not easy, but it's a choice I will never regret.

Why I am a Mormon

My father passed away when I was very young. I don't have any memories of him. Knowing that i will get to meet him someday gives me peace and happiness. I had to gain my own testimony of my Savior. I love digging deep into the scriptures. I have had many experience that have tested what I believe. However, when it comes down to it, my reasons for being a Mormon are simple. It feels right and makes me happy. Being a Mormon is a huge part of my happiness. I am doing my best to live my life the way God would want me to live. His plan is always so much better then what I think is best. My Savior helps me see everyone as a child of God, make good choices, and help others. I'm happiest when I'm reading the scriptures, praying, and attending church. I attend the temple, and have a knowledge that families can be together forever. Being a Mormon brings joy into my life, and has blessed my life in so many ways.

How I live my faith

I love to sing. I have have had the opportunity to sing at Abravanel Hall, and with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. I have also been able to sing in various churches across the states. I was in Boston for my best friends wedding. Her mother was able to attend the wedding, but had to go straight to the hospital right after because she was so ill. We were able to go with her and sang to her. We sang a beautiful arrangement of Amazing Grace. The feeling in that room was so strong that nurses all over the floor came into the room. That was an amazing experience, and we are still best friends to this day. We sing together all the time. I know God put her in my life for a reason. She was the best friend I didn't realize i needed. Now 13 years later we still keep in touch, uplift, and edify each other. I also enjoy working with the youth. I am a scout leader and a soccer coach. I try my best to set a good example for them, to uplift them and help them see their individual strengths. I love working with the youth. On a personal level... I live my faith by doing my best. I am not striving for some unobtainable perfection. I am just trying to do a little better every day. Some days are better than others. But that's why I'm here. I love to see everyone as a child of god. It is not for me to judge but to love everyone. So i focus on my own imperfections and reaching out to others with love and understanding.
