Hi I'm Shawna Hill

I grew up in Idaho USA. I'm a mother and Grandmother. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I was born and raised in a loving LDS home. I'm a mother of 6 wonderful children and the Grandmother of 6 amazing grandchildren. I was a step mother of four more children which I continue to love and see three of them. One died in an accident. I've been divorced twice but believe I have a good attitude and am a pretty happy person. I enjoy reading, sewing, crocheting, swimming , and walking. I love the holidays and can usually find something every month to celebrate about.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was raised in the LDS faith I made choices that took me away from active membership for a short time in my youth. When I was 20 I was given the opportunity to attend a Book of Mormon seminar. At this seminar I read the Book of Mormon myself for the first time. I could feel the truthfulness of this book while I read it. I went through some struggles after but it became easy for me to feel my Heavenly Fathers and Saviors love for me. I began then to take an active part in my relationship with Them. This relationship has just continued to grow as long as I am willing to participate. My Heavenly Father and Savior have become my closest friends it is a joy to be able to pray to the Father in the name of my Savior numerous times daily. I enjoy the love and peace I feel from Them regularly. I love the feeling I get from serving others. It is these feelings that give me such a great desire to continue on this path I have chosen.

How I live my faith

I have had the opportunity to serve in many areas in my ward I have taught the children and the youth I have been involved in Cub Scouts. I have been a leader of the children and young women. Right now I am serving as a leader of the women in our ward. I was a PTO president in the elementary school my children attended. I volunteer to help in the food bank distribution in my community. I enjoy being able to visit with the women in my church monthly.
