Hi I'm Joshua DuWors

Born in Seattle, Washington. I love ultimate frisbee, playing guitar, and the gospel. currently going on a mission to Sweden.

About Me

I was born in Seattle, Washington, and I am the oldest of a family of 4 kids, which comprises of me,1 brother and 2 sisters. My dad is a chaplain in the US military, so we get to move around a lot. I have lived in California, Texas, and finally in Germany before moving again to Washington. I have a good singing voice (according to other people) I can play a little guitar, hopefully to improve, and I just love languages and astronomy.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because of the happiness I see in the lives of others when they have the gospel in their lives, so I hope that I can receive that same happiness in my own life. I also realize that gaining that happiness requires an active faith in the gospel, not through passive belief. So through living by the example of Christ, I'll become closer to him. One of the greatest examples I've ever had was from my dad. Not only did I feel intimidated by His encyclopedic knowledge of the Bible ( He has a Masters in Hebrew and Middle Eastern Religions, or something else very smart), but His most important thing that he has ever shown me is his almost constant study of the scriptures. To him, you can always find the answer in the scriptures if you knew where to look and if you knew how to ask. To me, I feel a need to read the scriptures to find my answers, because it is all written out, if you know where and how to look for it. The scripture will be your witness, if you ask Heavenly Father for the knowledge.

How I live my faith

I am currently in the Provo Missionary Training Center to prepare for a mission to Sweden, Stockholm. Other than that, I work toward developing Christ- like love for my fellow men and women around me. By doing so, I am working on developing a testimony of the charity of Jesus Christ. To do that, I need to be able to be an example to the people around me.
