Hi I'm Shandelle

Born and bred in Melbourne, Australia. Lover of netball, travelling and the outdoors. Mormon.

About Me

Oldest of three children born and raised in Melbourne, Australia. I love learning and have recently begun studying psychology. However I have put my studies on hold to serve a mission for my Church in Kobe, Japan. I very much enjoy the company of family and friends, pursuing adventures and new experiences and a game of netball when the chance arises.

Why I am a Mormon

Having been raised in the church I have been blessed by the love I feel being apart of a community of faithful and trying examples that uplift me each day. I have personally sought the meaning to life, the reason for trials and the source of happiness and have found complete comfort and complete joy in knowing that Christ's teachings and gospel is restored as a Church today. I have come to know the truthfulness of the Bible, and The Book of Mormon as a second witness to Christ and in doing so have personally built a relationship with my Heavenly Father, which strengthens me each day. Knowing this truth and living this happiness gives my life meaning and purpose, joy and hope and I am so thankful for this blessing in my life.

How I live my faith

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is very much apart of my life and is probably the keystone to my desires, beliefs and values. It's teachings are built upon love towards both God and everyone else so I try each day to show respect, love and kindness to all those I come in contact with. Also, recognising that I make mistakes and mess up along the way, I try to often correct these wrongs and focus on improving myself in small ways. In choosing to serve a mission for my church, I will seek to help anyone interested in my faith's message or who are in need of anything I can assist with. Mainly, my faith has taught me the importance of caring for all those around us, refraining from judgement and striving to help anyone in need and so I try my best to remember this and make a small difference of relief and support.
