Hi I'm Hali

I travel, I play piano, I'm an aunt, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Growing up on a farm, I've learned to love wide open spaces and the value of hard work. I love to travel, however, and will be serving a mission in the beautiful land of Peru! I've attended BYU-Idaho and have played, studied, and loved the piano before I can remember. I adore my nieces and nephews and hold a special place in my heart for all of my family. I enjoy sports-related exercise, watching classic movies, and most of all--LAUGHING! My favorite thing to wear is a smile (:

Why I am a Mormon

There may be a lot of reasons that others are Mormons but this I know for sure--my happiness is found no where else except in the gospel. I don't go to church, read my scriptures, or pray because another person is watching me. I do those things because they genuinely make ME feel so much better. I AM a Mormon because it not only makes sense, but it feels so right. I am humbled daily because I learn how intelligent my Heavenly Father is whenever I have strayed off His path. I am a Mormon because I never knew that I could give 100% of my trust to something. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I desire to represent my Lord, Savior, and Redeemer, Jesus Christ. I know that there is something good to be found in everyone and that while most religions can give me a piece of truth and happiness, being Mormon provides access to ALL truth. Most importantly, I am Mormon because I love my God and know EXACTLY how I can return to Him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying harder to be a little better everyday. Instead of getting discouraged because I've had a bad day, I try to change the events for a better tomorrow; especially by incorporating things into my life that God and His church have asked us to do. Nothing makes me feel better than selfless service and making the people around me happier. I love to live my faith by playing the piano for various callings within my church, but teaching has grown upon me throughout the years. There is no better way to learn than to teach--I certainly hope to continue learning for the rest of my life! (:

In whom should we have faith?

Hali
We truly should place our faith upon God. To me, though, I not only place my faith on Him, but I place my faith in Jesus Christ--I have a faith upon the power of the Atonement; that it is the only way I am cleansed and able to meet with my God one day. On a personal note, I believe that we should have faith in ourselves. We must not give up when we have failed. Change is SO possible. It is not a rare occurrence. If you ask yourself who you should place your faith in, place it in yourself, your God, and your Savior. If you choose to believe in yourself, the power of God and His Son, Jesus Christ, will make you UNSTOPPABLE. Not even the depths of hell or the power of Satan can stop you. Put your faith in the right person (: Show more Show less
