Hi I'm Alexis Taylor

I was raised in South Carolina. I love learning and teaching. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a recent high school graduate. I found my passion for teaching in a program at school, and have my heart completely set on teaching upper elementary. Kids meant the world to me. I'm currently preparing to serve a mission in Neuquen, Argentina for 18 months. After that, I will be attending BYU-Hawaii. I love the beach and all things sunny. Smiling is my favorite.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the plan of happiness that our Heavenly Father has set for us. It shows how much he loves me personally, because I know that He still would have sent His son, even if I was the only person on the earth. I love that I have a built in best friend in Christ. His atonement has made it so that he understands everything I go through. I know that I can go to him with any problem I have, and he will be able to help me and support me. The gospel of Christ makes me so happy. I want everyone on earth to know why I'm so happy and feel the love that I feel. I know that this is the church that is directed by Christ in these days, and that by following the council from modern day prophets, I will be able to make it back to my Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints. I am assigned to serve Neuquén, Argentina for 18 months. I invite others to come unto Christ and teach them the restored gospel. My whole life, for those moths, will be centered on that purpose. Right now, I am learning how to teach, and how to speak Spanish, at the Provo MTC. I try to show all the other missionaries I come in contact with that they are loved and that the Lord has a specific plan for them.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Alexis Taylor
As a Mormon woman, I personally feel very empowered by the plan Heavenly Father has set for me. I get to serve in the church, and serve my Lord just as the men do. I know I can pray to find truth. Women and men work together to build up the Lords kingdom. I have been taught my whole life, as have my brothers, that we are children of God. As His children, we have different responsibilities, but neither is more glorious than the other in the eyes of God. Show more Show less
