Hi I'm Whitney Ann Benson

I love adventure and traveling. I lived in Africa while doing humanitarian work this summer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student at Utah State University and am minoring in Non-Profit Management and majoring in Communications. I'm preparing to serve a mission in Texas Fort Worth for the next eighteen months and couldn't be more excited! I love anything outdoors. I can't stay cooped up for long, I'm always out hiking, rock climbing, camping and am not afraid to try new things. Running is my passion, I can hardly go a day without it! My favorite thing is to travel and experience new cultures, meet new people, and learn about other's way of life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because living the gospel of Jesus Christ brings me pure joy. This gospel brings me purpose, it brings me love and peace. Because of the knowledge that I have, that I can live with my family forever, that I can be forgiven of my mistakes and that I can constantly learn and grow through the gift of the Holy Ghost, I have purpose in my life. This life on earth is given to us as an opportunity to learn and grow. We all make mistakes. But our Savior has provided a way for us to repent of those mistakes and gives us loving guidance to make it back to Him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through service to others. I love serving and had the most incredible opportunity to do so in Uganda this past summer for two months. The people taught me about love and the gift of giving. Because of the values I grew up with, I have learned to love others and see them as children of God and truly value bringing others to this knowledge. Teaching others about their Heavenly Father and the hope, love and peace he provides in all of our lives is how I help my own testimony to grow.
