Hi I'm Justin Jaques

Hi, I am a Mormon from Vernal, Utah. I was highly involved with the FFA and was a Utah FFA State President serving an LDS mission.

About Me

I am a country boy who has grown up on a ranch for the last 10 years and was highly active in high school with many different areas. FFA (Future Farmers of America), Football, Wrestling, Honor Society, Scouts and several other clubs and organizations. After high school I ran for a State Officer position and elected to be the 2013-2014 Utah FFA State President. During that time I was a full time college student at the Utah State Vernal Campus completing my generals. Throughout high school and until my mission I worked for my grandfather who owns a Farm/Ranch of five hundred acres of alfalfa along with corn and two hundred and fifty head of Hereford cross Angus beef.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have gain my own testimony by my personal reading of the Book of Mormon and was able to see the amazing difference in had made in my life for the better. Giving service has allow me to be more in tune with the holy spirit which has guided me to have that testimony in Jesus Christ. Through personal revelation and feelings I get when I lay down on my knees I have confirmed for myself that I know that the Church of Jesus Christ is true and the the Book of Mormon is true and was translated by Joseph Smith. I able to have a feeling of comfort to know that I have a Father who knows me and cares for me so much that he wants me to return back unto him and that he gave a savior, Jesus Christ to allow me to do so. All of this is why I have chosen myself to be a Mormon and the testimony I have gained.

How I live my faith

How I live my faith is being really active with all types of service projects and being high active with my quorum/scouts. My scout troop was highly engage in doing service within our ward for our elderly and anyone in need. Each year we would have several annual projects which included woodcutting and gathering, hauling and stacking hay, snow removal, along with highway pickup. There was many other project we did such as building fences and trimming lawns that allowed myself to feel great and being proud of myself doing so. There is a amazing feeling you get when you are doing service for someone else that can not be found elsewhere. My quorum would also visit the temple quite often by going each week on Tuesday's mornings before school and doing baptisms for the death which would start our day with a new beginning and fullness we would feel in our hearts. Now I am committed and in training for a 2 year Mission for my church to Billings Montana and want to share the gospel of Jesus Christ that has help me so much in my life by having happiness in my life and lifting me out of hard times.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Justin Jaques
The Book of Mormon is like the Bible. It was written by several ancient prophets long ago here in the America continent and were complied by the prophet and historian Mormon. His son Moroni received the plates and left his personal account as well. Centuries latter the Prophet Joseph Smith was shown where the plates were hidden and was able to translate them into the English language by the priesthood authority of God. Show more Show less
