Hi I'm Tamara J. Lybbert

I grew up in Canada. I have a large and lovely family. I love listening to music and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am an amateur artist and love painting best. I did lots of art and drama in school and have tried out for multiple plays. I love my large family and the things we manage to do on a tight budget. Some of my favorite memories are just playing cards, watching movies or having family discussions. I look up to my parents in everything I do. I see them as two of the most wonderful people I know and I can tell them anything. I love being LDS (Mormon) and appreciate greatly everything my membership does for me in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I became Mormon initially because I was born and raised Mormon. In high school I began to test other paths trying to find myself and decide what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I looked at other religions and even thought of dropping religion all together. However i always found myself looking back on the happiness and clarity i felt as a child in the Mormon Church. I am now a Mormon because nothing else makes as much sense to me or makes me feel more secure. I never have to feel alone because God and Jesus Christ are always with me. I believe that Joseph Smith restored Christ's true church to the world in these latter days. The prophets are truly men called of God to minister to us and receive revelation that is relevant to the worlds ever changing issues. Jesus Christ is the Savior of our world and it is only through him that we will be saved. I believe that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only true church in the world and that no other church can bring as much happiness and peace of mind to any person no matter where or who they are. I love this Church and the motivation it gives me to become a better person and will try for the rest of my life to help others to find the same happiness.

How I live my faith

I enjoy being the nursery leader in my ward. Watching the toddlers in the ward is hard sometimes, but I feel great that I am serving their parents by allowing them to attend their meetings uninhibited. Teaching small children about the Savior is also very rewarding for me. I try to do my best to be a good example to the people in my community, to show others how happy being LDS has made me and what a blessing it is for me and my family.
