Hi I'm Annie Grace

I grew up on the San Francisco Peninsula. I'm studying mechanical engineering at BYU. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

One of my favorite things in the world is nature. I love to see beautiful natural landscapes and to be our doors. One of my hobbies is swimming in open water; especially lakes, the murkier the better. I'm devastatingly afraid of large aquatic creatures, but that's what makes swimming in a murky lakes and oceans so exciting, it's a triumph over my fears. I find that the best feeling in the world comes from accomplishing hard and difficult things. I love math and physics. It feels so rewarding to solve a problem and get to check that you have the absolute right answer. I also love to sing and play my guitar.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I believe in the Plan of Salvation. For those of you that are not familiar with the Plan of Salvation, it is a Plan created by God, it is the purpose for us to come to earth, and it is through understanding and obedience to the plan that we are able to return to God and live in Heaven. This Plan is often referred to as the Plan of Happiness because it's goal is to ensure the happiness and salvation of all mankind. There are two crucial tenants of the plan that are especially important to me: Firstly, the purpose of the Plan of Salvation is to give us a chance to learn, grow, and progress through experiencing life with bodies and having the ability to make our own decisions. I love the Plan of Salvation because it shows me that our lives here on earth aren't a punishment or an arbitrary occurrence. Instead, the Plan teaches that our lives are a gift. Second, I love the Plan of Salvation because it is so open. The blessings that come to those who follow the Plan of Salvation are open to everyone. Even after death. Those who did not have the opportunity to hear the message of the Gospel on earth have an opportunity to accept it even after they have passed. We teach that Heavenly Father is a fair God who loves all of his children and wishes them to return to him. That being true, why wouldn't he construct a plan that gave every possible opportunity for everyone to accept it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church meeting and studying the scriptures. I was baptized when I was eight years old, meaning I've been a member of the church for practically my whole life. Though I've been a member for a considerable amount of time I still study the scriptures and learn and relearn gospel principles.
