Hi I'm Andie

I'm a college student studying political science. I love to run, read, and eat lots of ice cream. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 18 years old and I have a lot of plans for my life. This fall, I will enter the mission field as a sister missionary in the Mexico Mexico City East Mission. When I return, I want to get my undergraduate degree, go to Law School, and then work with local and international non-profits. I want to help as many people as I can. I also want to be a wife and mother. I know that I don't know much about the world yet, but I am so excited to learn! I love spending time with other people, and I want to always find ways to spread happiness and light wherever I am. I love running. It makes me feel free and strong. I ran Cross Country and Indoor and Outdoor Track in high school and I still run almost every day (except Sundays). I also love reading, hiking, biking, and going on grand adventures. And ice cream. I LOVE ice cream! I think that this world that we live in is a pretty terrific place, and I feel so blessed to be here.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love my Savior and want to serve Him, and I have found that being a member of the LDS Church is the best way for me to do that. I know that Jesus Christ died for me, and that because He did, I can live with Him forever. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Savior's church, restored on the earth today. I know that the Book of Mormon is truly scripture, and I encourage everyone to read it and find out for yourself if it is true. I know that Heavenly Father loves each of us, and wants us to be happy. He will guide our path and help us to become the very best that we can be, but we must first ask Him for His help.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending all of my church meetings each week. I pray to my Heavenly Father and study my scriptures each day. I have served on a leadership council at the LDS Institute of Religion at my University, and I try to stay involved both in my community and at church. I am preparing to serve a full-time mission in Mexico City, which will require me to miss two years of college. I am so excited to serve a mission and to continue serving in my church throughout my life!
