Hi I'm Morgan Todd

I love to dance! I love to laugh! I am currently serving a mission in Virginia. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving a mission in Virginia! It is THE best experience ever. I am from St. George, Utah, though I have also lived in Texas and Georgia. I have two little sisters and an older brother. I received my Associates degree before coming on my mission and plan on continuing my education when I am done. I'm not sure what I want to go into as of yet, but I am definitely getting lots of ideas from everyone I meet here in Virginia! I love to dance and sing and play the ukulele and make people laugh!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but, like everyone else, I came to a point in my life where I had to figure out what I believed. For a while as I was growing up, I lived off of my parent's testimonies and the testimonies of those around me that the church I had grown up with was true, but I wanted to figure it out for myself. I wanted to have my OWN testimony. So I started seeking. I started to read the Book of Mormon and I started praying sincerely, asking God if what I was learning in the scriptures and at church was true. Angels did not come into my room and tell me, I didn't hear the voice of God telling me that what I had read was true, but I did feel the Spirit testify to my heart that the Book of Mormon was true, that Joseph Smith was called to be a prophet by God, that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is God's true church on the earth today. It is hard to describe how you feel the Spirit because it is unique to everyone, but I feel at peace when I read from the Book of Mormon. When I listen to people speak at church or when I share my testimony with others, I feel the Spirit; it feels almost like my heart is too big for my chest. The Spirit testifies the truth of all things. So, whenever I feel the Spirit, I can know at that moment that what I'm hearing, what I'm reading, what I'm saying is true. Through the whisperings of the Spirit I have come to know with all my heart that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to follow Christ and live as He would live. Right now I show my faith by being a missionary. Everyday I put on my name tag that shows the world that I am a representative of Christ. Someone asked me once, "If you were to stand before a jury, would you be convicted of being a follower of Christ?" I want everyone to know that I am a representative of Christ, not because they read my name tag, but because my actions emulate His. So, I strive daily to do the little things: studying my scriptures, praying, doing service, following the commandments, smiling, helping, giving a compliment, being patient, etc. And all of these little things that I do help to build and strengthen my character so that, hopefully, those around me will be able to recognize me as a representative of Christ.
