Hi I'm Devin Zeke Clanton

I'm a Florida boy, the ocean is my home. I'm a Unicyclist and a Ninja Warrior and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Panama City, Florida. I have been a member of the LDS church since I was eight years old and was able to be baptized. I love the Ocean and the beautiful beaches of Florida, so it was a shock when I moved to landlocked Provo, Utah. I have just graduated from high school this last year in the class of 2014. Now I am preparing to leave on a mission for the LDS church. I will be serving in Washington State and it is a super exciting time. I am an avid unicyclist of all terrains. I love unicycling because it is something that I can do which helps me clear my head and feel accomplished. It is definitely unique but I have been able to recruit some awesome friends into the fun of unicycling as well. I also do training for Ninja Warrior. I started training about a year ago and it is also something that I really enjoy because it is freeing and is a fun way to get a workout! Life is a blast! It couldn't be any better than it is right now, except for hopefully tomorrow (:

Why I am a Mormon

When I was baptized I was only a young child, I had absolutely no idea what my baptism and joining of the church entailed but I did it because I was raised in it and that was the next step. Since that time I have remained involved in the church. I have remained involved not because I have been coerced into it, but because I have come to know the goodness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Of course their was a time when I needed to know for myself if this was true or not. From reading the Book of Mormon and hungering for an answer if it is true or not I was touched by feelings of peace and joy. It felt right! I have come to a realization that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is Christ's church and he is leading it today through a living prophet. Living the gospel brings so much happiness to me and to those around me who can see my example and follow it. I have been taught by the spirit that this it the true church and that if I follow the prophet's teachings and endure to the end I will one day be able to return to my Heavenly Father and live with him forever. I desire this beyond anything else!!! So... I'm a Mormon (:

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to keep the promises that I made to the Lord at baptism. It is definitely not an easy thing to do and I fail a lot more than I succeed, but I know Christ will forgive me as much as need! I love the gospel and I do everything in my power to live it to the fullest. Serving a mission to share these truths with others is a huge way that I am able to live my faith. I'm am grateful beyond words for the faith that I have developed and I love sharing that with others. I hope and pray that I can become better everyday and grow closer to my savior and my family in that process. Living my faith is the only way I've found or even seen true happiness.... What else is there? NOTHING! This is it. Faith is what will get you through life!
