Hi I'm Andrew

I'm an athlete, a mathlete and a musician. I'm serving the Lord for two years, which means, of course that I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am from the a little town in Virginia that no one has heard of and I have 5 sisters and 3 brothers. My family puts the fun in dysfunctional, but I love them and I wouldn't trade them for anything! I live for music! I love to play music, I'm a percussionist, though I love playing anything that I can my hands on. I also love to sing (though not many people love it when I sing). And dancing is probably my favorite thing to do in the world! I love sports, particularly soccer, and anything outdoors. I'm so happy to be serving a mission in the New Mexico Farmington Mission and in case you hadn't guessed it by everything that I've said, I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up in this church, and to many, that is an acceptable answer as to why I am a member. But though that may be a factor, that is not why I am a Mormon. I am a Mormon because of what it has done to my life, and what I have seen it do in the lives of others. When I was younger, I was probably textbook troubled youth. And because of that, I messed up quite a bit. But through the gospel, through the Savior, I was able to forgive those that I needed to forgive, to let go of the anger inside of me that was destroying my life. Looking back, I can see exactly where my life was headed, and that is the last place I want it to go. The gospel saved my life, it brought me peace, love, joy, and happiness, and I have seen it do the same to many others. I'm a Mormon because it makes me who I want to be. I'm a Mormon because I love it. And I'm a Mormon because this church is true.

How I live my faith

I love the gospel. And everything related to it. I love the service, the activities, the people, literally everything. And so I do as much of it as I can. I go to as many activities as I can, and once or twice I've even one to two full church meetings right after each other, so I had six hours of church in stead of three. I'm always willing to do anything that is asked of me, and on several occasions have given impromptu talks, and I've even volunteered for some. Anybody reading this might think me strange, or too "goody two shoes," but the truth is I'm the way I am because of loving parents and leaders throughout my life. And I've come now to a part in my life where I have the unique opportunity to serve the Lord for two years in the Farmington New Mexico mission.
